My system is 8.5 years old (yes, from 2011, except the GPU from 2016) but is still at least moderately competent (~90fps at 2560x1080)

When World of Tanks updated the game engine to use more threads, older CPUs worked better in WoT.  CPU clock speed still matters somewhat.

It looks like WoT Encore is harder on your system than regular WoT.  Ultra with Ray Traced shadows off is giving you a little under 80 FPS based on those results.

I tested WoT encore and measured average FPS with both Fraps and with MSi Afterburner.  Both gave the same result.  You can divide your WoT Encore score by 170 and get your average FPS for the test.  For example, 13370/170=‭78.64 FPS.

That's a well know issue for the last 9 years!!

Like I said before it is a CPU based game, not GPU based and until they "fix" that, you don't have the benefits for SLI in this game....

My computer before this one (see post 20) had 2 nvidia 980 ti in it... In SLI it worked perfectly but it doesn't give you more power in wot.

Actually, WoT officially supported SLI previously.  I've had it working before with no issues on a previous computer.  Wargaming keeps breaking it and taking forever to fix it.  So its not a known issue for 9 years.  There are times where it worked flawlessly for most people for a while.

"CPU based game" makes no sense at all.

then maybe you can both contact wg's and nvidia's support with regards to said sli issue in wot... maybe they can meet half way and discuss a fix for that...

That's Wargaming you are talking about.  They can't even be bothered to fix broken things in their own game that doesn't involve outside parties.  Also Wargaming keeps breaking SLI in the game and taking forever to fix it when they do.

DirectX 12 officially supports dual video cards and even supports using an AMD and Nvidia based graphics card in the same system for performance improvements.  The technology even allows two different graphics cards of different graphical processing power to be used together as long as they aren't too widely different in processing power.  There really isn't much game developers have to implement to enable it, but only a handful of new games officially support that technology.  Unfortunately Wargaming is so far behind in Technology, that WoT wasn't upgraded to DirectX 11 until after DirectX 12 was released and DirectX 11 was already 8 or 9 years old.

  3. I have a high bandwidth SLI bridge.  Its a World of Tanks game issue, not a SLI issue.  The SLI problems are very common and many people are having the exact same issues with WoT when using graphics cards in SLI.

what nvidia gpu are you using on sli?... have you tried contacting WoT support with regards to your sli problem?...

I've tried it with both the GTX 1070 in SLI and the GTX 1080 ti in SLI

I haven't contacted support.  Wargaming seems to change their mind on if SLI is officially supported monthly now.

true.... But still intel based... It would be great if wot had GPU support, but until then.....

Maybe stupid question but anyway... have both GPU your adding the same engine? Or else it wouldn't work either

That looks like an old systems requirements page.  This is what shows up for me:

    Aw6TOqm.jpg

Both don't exclusively say Intel CPUs.

I tried SLI with two GTX 1070 GPUs (EVGA GTX 1070 SC) and with two GTX 1080 ti GPUs(EVAG GTX 1080 ti FTW3).  Both produce strange artifacts in the exhaust smoke and flashing objects in the garage.  Other users who have tried SLI have reported the exact same issues.

  5. After adding a second GPU to my system, I tried several different methods of getting SLI to work properly with Nvidia Profile Inspector.  I haven't been able to get it to work with WoT Encore.  I either get both GPU's running at 50% power or 1 GPU running at 100% power.

With regular World of Tanks, SLI causes flickering issues int he garage and weird artifacts in some of the effects in the game.  Sometimes the exhaust smoke form the tanks comes out as flickering cubes.

Wot is a intel based game ;)... it is the same with Adobe, all intel above AMD ;)

WoT is GPU limited and once you reach a certain level of CPU power it doesn't make a difference if you have an Intel or AMD CPU.

  6. Thanks.  I was lucky enough to get it for MSRP a few weeks after it was released last year.  If I wasn't doing more video editing, I would have stuck with the 6700K for another year or two.

I tried reinstalling multiple times with different options and found that with these options chosen, I have no FPS issues.  I'm wondering if the Tank Rating Colors mod was causing the issue for me.  I couldn't get it to work correctly.  There were no tank parts colored by player rating.

its not a damn problem with game :rage: its the new daily missions do you get it now?

I think you don't understand his problem.

He is saying the missions should look like this:

    G6h47w.jpg

In his garage the mission look like this:

Now do you understand his problem?

  8. Before you asked to try with removing only the Echoes of War sounds, I already reinstalled the modpack without it and didn't have time to reinstall again.

I tried modpack version #6 with Echoes of War sounds installed and without On battle results statistics by RaJCeL.  There are no FPS issues now.  However, I get an issue in replays sometimes now where the map is black and no HUD ever loads.  There isn't an issue with the map or HUD during gameplay though.  I tried a reinstall of #6 just now and still have the replay issue.

  9. That's unfortunate.  I was tired of being focused by arty for the entire battle, so I tried the anonymizer.  Now I don't know if the teammates around to me has the skills of a bot or if they can actually shoot the red tanks.  The people running XVM feel the need to punish anyone using the anonymizer, even though the ability to use the anonymizer is open to anyone.

  10. The last couple versions of the modpack, I've had the issue where during pre battle countdown, at the start of battle, and sometimes during the battle, the game drops under 10 FPS for 5 to 20 seconds at a time.  I've tried different combinations of mods and can't figure out what mod is causing it.  I reinstalled modpack version #5 for the second time today and I loaded up a replay.  The replay had the same issue I had in game.  Normally I run the game at the 100 Hz refresh rate of my monitor and it rarely drops below 100 FPS except with modpack #4 and #5.

When I don't have any mods installed, I don't have that issue.
