Unable to accept platoon invites. Unable to enter battle after trying to accept platoon invites.

When someone sends me a platoon invite and I accept it the info thing at the bottom right says invitation accepted.  However I never am able to actually join the platoon.  The platoon window never appears.  After that I can no longer join any pub battles.  The Battle button is greyed out for every tank in my garage after that.  This started with the latest version of the modpack.

The tank has the crew and ammo, but the battle button is greyed out for all tanks:

 

EDIT: If I go into a different battle mode then back to regular random battles the battle button is not greyed out.
