DonutDestroyer Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) I have been trying to load and use the latest Aslains mod pack for World of Tanks and have had all kinds of problems, most of which are probably my fault, but I don't know how to fix them. Initially I got the program loaded, but forgot to download the XVM program so I uninstalled everything and reloaded it. In a nutshell, I've uninstalled and re-installed everything 7 times and each time something else goes wrong. After the initial uninstall, when I was loading the program again, I got error messages during the install saying that the names of already installed files could not be changed. I get these messages every time I try to reload and can only get past these points if I click "Ignore". The program continues to load, but each time something else doesn't work when I run the game. The last couple of installs, the player information panes disappeared in the game. Prior to the panes disappearing, the player stats disappeared. The win chance figure has never appeared. Just one thing after another. The error messages I get about the existing files are: C:Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\configs\xvm\Aslains\patch.exe C:Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\configs\XVM\Aslains\sed.exe C:Games\World_of_Tanks\7za.exe I check the selections to delete previous files and programson install but these files won't go away. For some reason, I also have 3 World of Tanks files under games: World of Tanks, World of Tanks classic and World of Tanks NA. I direct the files to load to World of Tanks NA since that is the icon on my desk top. I don't know what to do with the other two. I am not tremendously tech savvy when it comes to these programming matters, so is there simple go-by to load this program. With so many choices to make, I don't know if I'm making selections that cancel something else out that I want. Is there an idiot proof way to get this to work? Help. Administrator Aslain Posted April 28, 2020 Administrator Posted April 28, 2020 Depends what error message, you should show it on screenshots. Either way 99.9% problems with installing is fault of your computer setup combined software/hardware, mostly soft. You have to find out it yourself, majority of problems are related to lack of admin rights, messed up user profile, file priviledges and of course dumb antivirus software. Quote
DonutDestroyer Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) These are the error codes I'm getting. The original install did not have these messages. Only after I uninstalled the program and then re-installed it. Edited April 28, 2020 by DonutDestroyer Additional information Quote
