Nila95 Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 The installer is freezing every time I try and use it, I've tried allowing it through my firewall, turning off my firewall, running it as administrator (and not). I've tried leaving it for 8+ hours and it never finishes/the mods don't work. Screenshot of Installer: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AhINFQtdRxeBrxaGl0DYTLlCBdBnKY2D/view?usp=sharing I cant click on it or do anything with the window and the only way to close it is with task manager. This is the only log file in the Aslains Modpack folder shown in the how to report bugs/issues threat: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SWs2dOJS3oZE5BCVOkjt3RIrVEjLBf9s/view?usp=sharing Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted October 17, 2020 Administrator Posted October 17, 2020 Attach files here, I need access to browse that things. I need logs from the logs archiver. I think you are probably installing some large mod, and it takes an extensive time to unpack, especially on not too fast hardware. Quote
Nila95 Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 I mean I've installed this modpack before (with mostly the same options checked) on much slower hardware and its been done within 20 minutes. I've got a I7-10700K with 16 GB of 3200 RAM. _Aslains_Installer_CompList.log Also when it freezes like this it stops taking any processing power Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted October 17, 2020 Administrator Posted October 17, 2020 Are you installing it as admin? If it's not long unpacking process, then the installer functions has been stopped by something on your pc. Quote
Nila95 Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 I've tried both turning off my firewall and running as admin and it does the same thing everytime Quote
Nila95 Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 It seems to have been down to one of the options I chose, because when I tried only enabling dynamic crosshair it works fine Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted October 17, 2020 Administrator Posted October 17, 2020 Sorry but it's your computer doing this, I cannot help you with that. Quote
Nila95 Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 For sure not my computer as it works, just down to one of the options in the modpack Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted October 18, 2020 Administrator Posted October 18, 2020 I'm not saying that your computer is broken, just some software or unusuall setting is preventing to finish the installation. Quote
