mikbolo Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 hi I can't edit the battleAtlas file anymore....before it was enough to rename the .dds file to .png and photoshop opened it .... but now it is no longer possible ... am I wrong or can not be done anymore? Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted August 24, 2021 Administrator Posted August 24, 2021 I don't know but looks like he did the icons as real .dds, so the trick with .png will not work. You need a soft that can edit .dds. It's better to use .png and rename to dds because you will not lose quality, if Panzer used .dds means his icons will be compressed thus quality be deteriorated. @Panzerleiter Quote
Panzerleiter Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 (edited) Yes, I used the .dds option in CCAtlas for the last update. I haven't noticed any deterioration in icon quality when playing with them. I didn't know folks were editing my Atlas files, however. If it's a problem for you, I'll just go back to renaming .png to .dds for the next update. Edited August 25, 2021 by Panzerleiter Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted August 25, 2021 Administrator Posted August 25, 2021 I suggest to set the output to .png in CCAtlas, then rename .png to .dds manualy. Gives better quality icons. Quote
