Replays Manager issue when hitting rewind

I've had this issue for a while now and figured it would just resolve itself upon a subsequent update. 

 

I usually launch replays from within the game (due to an issue with replay files always trying to launch in my Common Test instance, despite changing the target exe - a different issue) and the replay plays fine as long as I don't try to navigate back. I can change speed, fast forward, select free camera, etc. However, as soon as I select the rewind (back cursor), I get the overlay as seen in the image below. After that, I can still control the replay but obviously, I can't see anything behind the black rectangle. Also, I can't end the replay or shut it down, and have to use Task Manager to close the game client.

 

Sometimes, if I FF all the way to the end, the rectangle disappears and I'm just left with my tank (dead or alive) in the last location on the map but then I can't navigate anymore.

 

This happens on both my NA and EU setups, which are pretty much identical for mods

 

Any ideas would be most welcome.
