Running the installer wipes mod specific settings

every time I run the installer, either to update to a new version, or to add additional/remove mods, most of the mod settings that were previously configured in-game get reset to their respective default.

Cases that I've noticed so far:

- Marks of Excellence Extended

- Sixth Sense Timer

- Repairs by Protanki

- Crew Control Center

All of the mods above appear to be using CHAMPi's in-game mod settings dialogue thing.

Is there any way to persist those settings when re-running the installer?

Edit: I usually run the installer with `Delete all previous mods from [...]`, simply because it's advised and I had significant issues in the past when unchecking that option.

Yes this is the price for updating the mods, this is because that mods are having their configs stored in the folders cleared by the clean install. You can manually copy the config files to safe location, and after installing new modpack, copy them over back to res_mods or mods. This method will not work if given champi mod is updated, then old config will not work.
