Ship Reflexions low poly and blocky, with flat water mod after update 13.4

I just updated the water mod to minimal, so I don't have a screenshot, tough I also don't know if this is just common sense that maybe the reflexions were never ment to be that sharp, which is why it looks so bad when having no waves.

This has been the case for a long time, ever since the game developers reworked the graphics. A partial solution is to reduce the quality of reflections or the sea quality, though I can't remember exactly which. This "issue" has been present for about five years. Alternatively, you can avoid installing the flat sea mod and choose different options in that mod branch. These options will display some waves while still keeping the sea reasonably flat.

 

In other words, the flat sea causes it to resemble glass, which reflects objects. These reflections appear blocky because that's how the game engine by WG renders them.

Yes I already had the "minimal" waves before, just wanted to test out the "flat" waves, I already expected something like this, but thanks for confirming it and taking your time 🙂
