Venger Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I am not sure I've ever gotten this to deploy to the PT server installation. When I choose the PT folder (D:\World_of_Warships_PT for instance), the installer says No Client Detected, whereas it shows WG Client when installing to the _NA folder. My understanding is this latest release should recognize the PTS instance. Is this a hopeless quest - will it just not work on the PT install - or is there something else that needs to happen? I can't imagine what... sure do miss my normal info panels and such when on PTS, the default is so... meh. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted June 28 Administrator Posted June 28 Assume you have the most recent modpack right? That would be v.13.5.1 #01. I just tested it, and it's detecting my PT installation. Could you attach your game_info.xml from the PT folder? Quote
Venger Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Yep, the very latest. Here is my gameinfo.xml game_info.xml I noticed an "updating PTS" in the game client yesterday, wonder if they bumped the deploy revision number or something that might mess it up... Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted June 28 Administrator Posted June 28 Ok will improve it in the next modpack, soon. Quote
Venger Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 FYI, no change, even on #2... still says No Client Detected... Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted June 28 Administrator Posted June 28 Could you attach _Aslains_Installer.log from Aslain_Modpack folder ? I will try to improve it further.... but not today. Quote
Venger Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Okay, I ran it using the PT folder even though it reported No Client Detected, let it finish, and have installed the log here... _Aslains_Installer.log Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted June 28 Administrator Posted June 28 By the way, the mods should still be installed, but you may still see this misleading message. Check if you have the mods in the PTS after you install it. Quote
Administrator Solution Aslain Posted June 28 Administrator Solution Posted June 28 Try this, it should detect it correctly: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ogwl727js820jjr/Aslains_WoWs_Modpack_Installer_v.13.5.1_02.exe/file Quote
Venger Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Yes, that showed Public Test - installed and will see if it works. Quote
Venger Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Yeah, #2 - I cannot load into PTS. It is stuck on GAME LOADING and have to Alt-F4 to a critical error window I have to Terminate. Will uninstall and run the #1 release as a test... same thing. Some combination of my mods will not load on PTS (I think I use the same on Live, which I have already run and is working on the #2 patch on Live). Quote

Because you are installing mods that are not intended for this game version, you may encounter issues. Mods will be updated after the release of 13.6.0. Installing to the PTS is experimental and not recommended for everyone. You may need to remove some mods to identify which one is causing the issue (it's usually one of the port interface mods). Also, keep in mind that the installer will overwrite your saved selections for the official client, so you may want to back up your current World_of_Warships\Aslain_Modpack\_Aslains_WoWs_Modpack_Exported_Settings.reg. Venger Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 Yeah, I'm gonna try and figure out which one it is, might be a feature request to have separate settings for PT versions Live, as always thanks for your help and hard work! Quote
Tabk3rDude Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I am having the same issue. Even after uninstalling all mods and trying to load into the PTS it still just loads forever until I finally get unable to connect message. I am starting to think something other than the mods is causing the issue, as even uninstalling them does not fix the issue. Quote

Its expected that certain mods will not work on the PTS, and the results will be various, including not able to load the game at all. This is not something that will be fixed, becaue mods will be updated after the official game release and not when the PTS is on. Quote

I did not realize that the current test session ended yesterday as well. I GREATLY appreciate all you do for us avid shipheads , I know you have to invest lots of time and effort into keeping your modpack up to date, especially with the way WG has been doing updates lately. Thank You! Quote
