Deceased Daisy ship contour mod

Hi all,

 

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the numbers on the stern of the ship on the mod represent (see attachment), I have seen 5.5, 6, 7 and even up to 30 but no idea what they are meant to be?

Torpedo ranges.

(Guess, based on the fact that all those ships, with the numbers in your picture, have torpedoes :) )
