DeathBringer Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Whenever I update to the latest version, 90% of the time I get an error regarding the json.cache file exists and it won't overwrite it. I literally have to go to the temp path to delete the file and hit "retry" to continue. The file error happens during the extraction process: C:\Users\*.*\AppData\Local\Temp\is-C1PC5.tmp\back_up\cache.json\cache.json\cache.json The path varies, but always in the APPDATA temp folder. Below is from the installer log "2016-10-19 11:52:42.681 Message box (Abort/Retry/Ignore): C:\Users\DEATHB~1\AppData\Local\Temp\is-C1PC5.tmp\back_up\cache.json\cache.json\cache.json\cache.json An error occurred while trying to create a file in the destination directory: Setup was unable to create the directory "C:\Users\DEATHB~1\AppData\Local\Temp\is-C1PC5.tmp\back_up\cache.json\cache.json\cache.json". Error 183: Cannot create a file when that file already exists. Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation. 2016-10-19 11:53:03.664 User chose Retry. 2016-10-19 11:53:03.664 Dest filename: C:\Users\DEATHB~1\AppData\Local\Temp\is-C1PC5.tmp\back_up\cache.json\cache.json\cache.json\cache.json 2016-10-19 11:53:03.664 Time stamp of our file: 2016-10-14 14:58:28.684 2016-10-19 11:53:03.664 Installing the file." Administrator Aslain Posted October 19, 2016 Administrator Posted October 19, 2016 Try to reinstall the modpack and uncheck option to backup session stats (next time you can enable it again). Quote
Squish! Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I had the same issue, and I thought it was because of Goha-Ru's hitzone skins. Turning off sesssion stats backup fixed it. "Untick this in case of problems" Derrrrrrrr Quote
Warloch Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I have the same issue - have done the 'reinstall' and not checked the backup. Stats work fine. Next update, pick same stats, check box to back them up - and get all zeros. The only way stats of any kind will work is by not backing them up during install. I'd like to keep them, so what can I do to fix or give you more info? 1 Quote
