  1. Try to disable "player name" and "show squad icon" in your current selection. Others can also disable "spotted markers" on top of that. If those are the only bugged ones, you should be able to use .07 regardless. (need to enable them again for testing purpose though) http://prntscr.com/agrsqf http://prntscr.com/agrt4f http://prntscr.com/agrt9x
  2. Try to go into the in-game settings and change some things there. On the right-hand side of the General tab, you have a dropdown box for "Tips on the Battle Loading Screen". You could see if the option "Text only" fixes this. You could also check if "Show vehicle tier" was enabled again, due to the patch.
  3. Hm, might be some issue with the OS then (Win 7?) but I could be wrong. You could try to copy > paste the XVMSymbol file from the WoT folder to the Windows > Fonts folder (overwrite if needed). Then try to install this pasted file inside of the Windows > Fonts folder (install anyway, if asked). Reboot PC and see if anything has changed (running a replay/checking if the font is now visible in Windows > Fonts). If that doesn't help at all, then I'm pretty much out of answers for the moment and you may have to try your luck with google ("installed fonts not showing up" or something along the line).
  4. If you can't see the XVMSymbol in Windows > Fonts, then it might be invisible. Try to google "show hidden files", if you don't know how to make these files visible.
  5. Check your main WoT folder then, there should be a folder named "_fonts_for_Aslains_Modpack". There's an XVM font on the bottom, which you might have to install via right-click. E: In fact, can try to install all of them.
  6. I think that's due to fonts. Try to delete the regular XVM font in Windows > Fonts and run the installer again.
  7. I wasn't mocking but trying to point out that the screenshots don't really give (any) concrete information. It's like taking a picture of the cup of coffee, saying that it's not hot enough and other people are supposed to "see" that. I also knew which damage log you meant but since there are up to like 4 different kinds of them in the modpack and you didn't specify which you have installed, it's just annoying to guess what exactly is supposed to be there and isn't. In any case, thx for adding the last picture. That's helpful indeed. And: For more information on that check http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/9-how-to-report-a-bug-or-issue/ Lastly, just from guesstimating, it looks like some mods are simply not being installed and that's, likely, due something on your PC blocking the installer. That being said though, need someone to check your .logs, in order to confirm that or see something else in them entirely.
  8. There might be a new version of the modpack coming soon, as Aslain is trying to fix 6th sense sounds. Maybe wait for that and see if the issue persists. Attaching your .logs and adding a screenshot or two might also help recreating/seeing the problems. Meanwhile, you can try some of the things that might fix the inconvenience, as it could be related to other bugs (not being able to use in-game chat or esc to leave the battle). - pressing F1 twice - pressing ctrl + left-click somewhere on the screen (not the map, I'm guessing) - alt+tab out and back in - minimize and maximize the game in taskbar Not sure about the aiming direction lines though, as they should be green to begin with (if you've selected the mod for it).
  9. Nice, a lucky guess then. Thankfully, that was so easy. =)
  10. Hm. You should at least attach your .logs then, so that Aslain can check your selected mods and see if he get's the same results. The only other thing I can think of is the UI scaling mod for 4k gaming (at the very bottom of the installer), in case you selected that. Or maybe give the option to "reset game settings and clear cache", at the end of the installer, a try and see if that helps any.
  11. Stupid question but did your in-game resolution change to something ridiculously low?
  12. I don't mean to be rude but your screenshots don't really show anything. Yes, WN8 colors could be different from the scales in the installer previews - but they also might have changed by now. They seem, more or less, appropriate and mainly the "average" range seems to be off or updated. Maybe your reticle doesn't zoom in further than x8, but how can one tell by a picture if it really doesn't or is supposed to even(?). Furthermore, what "damage tracker" are you referring to, specifically? I see the xvm hitlog working in the top of the screen and the dmg received one on the bottom. And there is no picture of the missing things in the garage at all. Again, don't be offended by this but there is really nothing one can see in those pictures, apart from WN8 ranges being different maybe. You should attach your .logs and make this a proper bug report, so Aslain can check out which mods you've installed, test the combination himself, see if he gets the same results and maybe have some better answers for you.
  13. Well, maybe that wasn't always the case. I remember when the return crew checkbox was also enabled by default.
  14. Don't worry about it, it's a simple mistake with (luckily) a simple solution. Better than an actual bug. =)
  15. Everytime Wargaming releases a patch, you will need to update World of Tanks, which should be obvious. Like from 9.13 to 9.14. Those patches usually change something in the game, so that many mods don't work anymore, for the new version of WoT. Modders then have to change their mods, so that they will work again with the updated game. In theory, if mods work for a patch once, they can work all the time, until Wargaming patches again and don't need to be updated until then. So, a lot of mods will work for .14 now and won't change (a lot) until .15 comes around. However, a lot of mods use XVM, which also sometimes changes how mods works and that needs to be updated from time to time. Not to mention, that some bugs may seem to work at first but still have bugs here and there. There are also sometimes small updates/micropatches released by Wargaming, which don't change the version of the game but still can break mods. All in all, it's better to update your modpack from time to time (like once a week or if you see a lot of things updated in the changelog), even if the WoT version hasn't changed. It helps to avoid bugs from mods and sometimes gives you better options for how to use them (like different positions on the screen or more/different features).
  16. I think that was related to the bug that you can't use the chat sometimes but I'm not 100% certain. You could try to press F1 two times or alt+tab out and back into the game and see if those help with your problem.
  17. Yea, I only use Avira for the virus/maleware protection. For browser security, I simply use Chrome, which basically acts similarly to that software you had installed - runs each tab in a sandbox. I think Firefox does the same though. And as far as system speed goes, I do regularly try to clear junk with CC Cleaner and defrag my disks at least once a week (especially when I install a lot or bigger things, like games). Also, using an SSD for your operating system drive is already a huge increase in speed in itself. The rest depends on your other hardware and what your software demands from it, I guess.
  18. Check if you've installed the mod that adds a tiny locked lock icon below your free exp (and probably also to the the gold), on the top of the screen. This is intended to help with spending free exp (and gold) by accident and can be disabled by clicking on said lock icon. The lock will then be displayed as unlocked and you will gain access to the free exp (and gold) again. If that's not your "issue", please consider making a more detailed bug report, which includes your local .log files.
  19. It is funny but kinda understandable as well, especially if you haven't played in a while and/or followed the news. Important thing is, that there's nothing funky going on. If it's only a simple mistake, then everyone should have a laugh about it. =P
  20. With 9.14 WG introduced a new sound engine and new in-game sounds for all kinds of things. Aslain's doesn't have anything to do with sound mods since .14, apart from 6th sense and Minion crew voices. Maybe that is what you've experienced?
  21. Thanks a lot too, for keeping on trying and check all the things suggested. Now you can finally have fun with WoT, the toxic comments, potato teammates and arti again..! =D It's better than spending time with your PC software though, I guess. =P
  22. Wow, that's great to hear! I'm really happy for you! Maybe stats just don't show because you need to re-activate stats on XVM site. Anyway, I'm glad you can enjoy yourself again. =)
  23. Avira is just what I use, which is why I meantioned it. Avast, Malewarebytes and AVG seem to be just as fine, according to other websites. At least they all offer some protection but aren't as intrusive as some other software and Avira hardly ever flags something (I also don't click every button on the internet, that contains maleware =P).
