  1. Yeah, I saw that and did not think it would make a difference. That is why I said that I was not sure if I actually had a problem before or if it was because using auto aim is too difficult for pro clickers like me.... :P I am now reinstalling it from the modpack and will terrorize someone with my Bert.....
  2. I think I had the same problem, but I do not use auto aim very often since I mainly play arty. But, I downloaded the latest files from the author in the WoT forums http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/441413-0912-autoaim-indicationsnapping/ and replaced the files from the mod pack and it is now working perfectly. But, I am not 100% sure it was not working before...I think I only tried to use it once.
  3. When I go to an art museum, I see something but I usually do not have any idea what I am looking at. :P
  4. I had the same issue. The game never started after I clicked "Play". I think that one problem is Skins of destroyed vehicles-white. I installed the modpack without this and the game did not crash.
  5. I just played a vanilla game with no xvm or mods and you are able to report from the battle results window. So, it was not removed by WG and is caused by a mod etc. But, who knows, the new version that is released tomorrow may work fine with all mods....or not work at all with any mods. I will wait until everything settles down with v9.12 before posting logs.
  6. thevbm may be correct. Do you have another keyboard that you can try?
  7. no...not massive at all... ^_^ But every little bit helps for some of us.... B)
  8. FYI there is a new version of expected tank stats that was released on November 1st. Now you can see the truth about how good or bad you really are... ;)
  9. I corrected a few tiny mistakes in the readme file readme.rtf
  10. the current modpack version is 9.10.44, I would try to always use the current modpack. There are two reasons that I do this: First is because by downloading it each time, I help support Aslain a tiny bit. He needs my support. Secondly, I always make sure that I have the most current version of all mods installed in my res_mods folder. Now if you are using the latest version of the modpack and you still have problems, visit http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/9-how-to-report-a-bug-or-issue/and follow the instructions on which files are necessary to attach to your post requesting help. Please include screenshots if possible. Someone will help you. Good luck
  11. The voices in my head say that I am insane, but I do not believe them.
  12. I can tell that you do not know the fine art of scouting in a GW E100... B)
  13. Mini Map Tankview Extended only works when I am playing in a tank. It does not work while playing in an arty. Maybe that is why it is called Tankview Extended and not Artyview Extended.... ;) _Aslains_Installer.logpython.log I have left a message on GOX's blog, if he responds I will share his info here....unless Aslain the ModMagician waves his magic wand first....
  14. It does show the exact distances, but it does not actually show the number like Locastan's.
  15. Oh yeah, I remember that. That was actually one of the reasons I liked the xvm map better. I did not like having the numbers displayed. It is an example of how we can not all be pleased....lol
  16. I am pretty sure the xvm mini maps do the same concerning crew skills and equipment. I know for a fact that the mini map reflects view range with and without telescope binoculars for example, but I am not 100% sure it reflects increases in crew skill/perks etc. But I would be extremely surprised if it doesnt. I would really recommend that you try the xvm mini map with everything checked that you think you need. I never missed Locastan's after I switched to Aslain's xvm map.
  17. Why not use the xvm mini maps that Aslain has in the installer? I do not know of anything that Locastan's has that is not possible with xvm mini maps, plus the xvm mini maps are configurable from within the installer. Locastans you have to make the changes you wish manually. Another plus to the xvm mini map is that Locastan does not support and maintain Locastan's Mini Map any longer. Someone else is doing that now and who knows how long that will continue and if the quality will remain the same as when Locastan was doing it. Using the xvm mini map would also allow you to find out for sure if it is Locastan's or not.
  18. I had similar problems a few weeks ago and it turned out to be an Nvidia driver problem for me. I was signed up in Nvidia's Beta program where I always had beta versions of drivers installed. I uninstalled the beta driver, and cancelled my participation in the beta program. Then I installed the latest non beta driver and problem solved. So, make sure that you are not using beta drivers and that you have the latest driver installed. After that, I have no idea. Good luck.
  19. I did not see this post until now...a bit late..sorry. Here are my favorite mods etc. Battle Assistant- this is probably the "aim assist mod" mentioned above. It gives your strategic view a different perspective. It does not provide any information that the normal strategic view gives, but I like it a lot when I am on a city map as it aids me in aiming over and between buildings. Basically I just like the view it gives. I can not hit anything with it that I could not hit without it. XVM Minimap settings: especially the "enable minimap zoom on button"- when I press and hold the left control button, the mini map is enlarged and in the center of the screen. Now it is much easier for me to right click on a target on the map and when I release the left control key, my arty will automatically rotate the hull and aim on that spot on the map. It saves a lot of aiming time. But, if you are playing counter arty, it will block your view and make seeing tracers almost impossible. Other settings are recommended such as "Show 500m maximum drawing distance square". If the enemy tank is outside this distance, he is no threat to me at all, he can not see me to aim even if I have been spotted...except for enemy arty of course. The 445m maximum detection range circle is useful for much the same reasons as the 500m square Under 6th sense settings, I use the Yellow Bulb as it is larger and easier to see than the default icon. I also have the "Display 6th sense icon for 9 seconds" just to make sure that I see the icon before it disappears. I have been so focused on the mini map and aiming at a target in the past that I did not see the warning. AutoAim Indication + I use this for the "snap to" function" that it provides. You do not have to place the aiming cursor directly on the target in order for it to lock in. Arty aim time, hull rotation etc is so slow that any help in aiming at that zippy light/medium tank that has found your hideout may save you. Usually it does not. Crosshairs. These are not necessary, but I currently use J1mB='s Aim Circle with ProArty SPG crosshair. I am also a fan of Sword of Damocles. Safe shot- I block shooting at wrecks and allies for 2 seconds. Shooting at wrecks because I do not want to waste over 40 seconds of reload time on a dead tank because I shot it with my CGC. I also do not want to accidentally shoot an ally tank with my CGC if at all possible. Tanks will race into a target right before you pull the trigger. This does not really help at long distances, but in up close fighting it makes a difference. Safety first. SpotMessanger- I have all options selected. The send to team chat is not a problem because as an arty you are not spotted a lot...except for maybe Bert or Bishop. But in the other long range artys, letting your team know that you have been spotted will help them to locate an enemy tank at the end of the battle. Skins of destroyed vehicles (White) this makes it easier to focus your aim on the enemy tank when it is hiding behind a dead tank. I use other things in the modpack, but they are only for aesthetic purposes and do not really offer anything super important in the battle
  20. Since the Multi Hitlog does not show hits to enemy tanks all the time, and it does not show remaining hitpoints of spotted enemy tanks I decided to create my own combination. I chose the Diff Damage WN8 version in the installer, moved it to a x coordinate value of 380. Then I moved my xvm hitlog to x380 and y 20 placing it directly below the MHL. Now, I have the MHL with wn8 and xvm hit log with the hp of spotted enemy tanks also available together in one location. And they do not interfere with the Full Player Panel.
  21. I am pretty sure that I was making changes to that file. But, apparently not. I have now moved the file to my location that clears the full player panel. 380 is the x value for anyone wishing to do the same. Thanks Aslain....I think that you secretly hacked into my computer...made changes to make me look like the idiot that I sometimes am.... :P
  22. Thanks Aslain, I will try to find the author on WoT forums. But as far as editing the config manually, when I change the x coordinates in the WindowKeyList portion of the ExpD_listlog.json file, the mod does not move at all. It stays in the same position regardless of what number I insert. I will also ask the author about this when I locate him. Thanks for your help.
  23. I have selected MultiHit Log expD+listlog and the list log is not working. _Aslain_logs.zippython.log. On a side note, when the list log will display, it will interfere with the full (largest) player panel. Is it possible to move the location of this log more to the middle of the screen so it will not write over the top of the large player panel? Thanks
  24. Thanks Grandorf. I have tried that several times but the location does not change. But, I have discovered that there is now a problem with the Hit Log. The hit list is not shown when you select Multi Hit Log +list log. So, I am going to start a thread with logs so someone can fix that problem first. Without the list of hits the log is not placed over the large player panel.
