Not working :/

I used this aslain wot modpack for one year. And since last wot update, my xvm doesnt work. I tried everything i can find on google and still no use(or im braindead) . if someone can help pls .these are things that dont work. no player stats or anything, no crew members,..

Something with your system, file privileges or lack of admin rights durring installation.

Try to manualy delete folders mods and res_mods, then launch the installer in administrator mode and reinstall. Also make sure no antivir is interfering in process.

Can you try to remove your game preferences file and reset your World Of Tanks settings back to default.

To perform this, please perform the following:

    Hold the Windows key and press “R”.
    In the Run window, type or paste “%APPDATA%\wargaming.net” (without the quotes).
    Delete the folder named WorldOfTanks.


Also, this will delete all settings. Including login info.

Afterwards, reinstall the mod pack, and then play a game. See if that fixes it.

today when i log in the game i have this problem.. https://prntscr.com/knv2hs i dont know why. yesterday i played and since i logout i didnt had any problem. i send you the file.

Aslains_WoT_Logs.zip . i unistall and i reinstall the mod, and i started as administrator but nothing happened. ty

i discover the problem for all this.. the XVM have some bugs and crushes.. if you can fix a packet without xvm but with all the other preferences like some other sites it will be great until XVM fix this.

I managed to solve it alone.. i deleted res folder , and then i run wot louncher so he fixed it alone, he downloaded allot over 10 gb but it helped now xvm works and wot alone it self . but thanks all for helping and good luck on the field

Your XVM is failing for whatever reasons, try latest modpack, if problem persist, try to ask on koreanrandom maybe.

This attachment has xvm nightly build 8600, I have in modpack 8601. Not sure what he told you, you didn't link to your thread on koreanrandom.

So basicaly it's just his xvm based on given build and that's it. I see no reason why it should help you.

There is also chance that the installer is not working properly for you (protected files, lack of proper rights etc. etc).

i send you a log that explain maybe the issue. 1st a txt with a recommendation.

"It is recommended that you remove any previous versions of XVMSymbol.ttf font completely, prior to updating!
Don't forget to install the fonts!"

2nd an explanation.

XVM has now had it's own fonts built right into the XVM mod itself for some time now.

Fonts:
XVM
VType
Dynamic
Dynamic2

There is no need to install the popular XVMSymbol font! It will mess up your config.
If you have the font installled on your system. Remove it. Aslain's installer usually
installs it still. It isn't needed. Nor should it be.
If you use a mod that calls for the XVMSymbol font, simply edit it's own config to use
<font face="xvm"> instead. It will work as long as XVM is running. It will not if XVM
is not running.

If the mod is using a modified version of XVMSymbol, then the modification of the font
should have also included modifying it's name! And no, renaming the font file itself does
not change the font's name. It is in the file itself. If this is the case, I cannot help
you. Edit the font appropriately as well as your mod's config to reflect what you did.

I was having the exact same issue that you are, i fixed it, heres what i did.

1.) Delete /res folder from your world of tanks directory

2.) Run World of tanks launcher

3.) Click settings and go to support and run the "verify integrity" thing

4.) Wait for it to reinstall the required files and then run the game.

I dont know how this fixed it but it did for me.
