themanimal Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) Hello, I used to be able to install mod pack without issues. However the last version that worked for me was v.1.10.1.0_03. When I try to install the newer versions, the installer freezes at checking for updates stage and I have to kill the process. I'm using windows 7. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and disabling windows firewall. Unfortunately I can't find log files because I uninstalled the previous version. Edited October 26, 2020 by themanimal Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted October 26, 2020 Administrator Posted October 26, 2020 The installer is connecting to https://pastebin.com to check its version, is this site blocked on your side? Quote

Thanks for the very fast reply aslain. Yes that site is blocked in my country. So I opened VPN and ran the installer and it works now. Thanks a lot again. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted October 26, 2020 Administrator Posted October 26, 2020 Can you access http://pastebin.com ? (without ssh) Quote

Administrator Aslain Posted October 26, 2020 Administrator Posted October 26, 2020 OK, strange anyway, since I'm using pastebin for version check since forever. Either way you know what to do :) Quote

It would always say "cant check for newer version" but it would install without problems. It started freezing only with the recent updates. Anyway thanks again. frcard Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 I got the problem with pastebin.com since the last 2 or 3 updates. My Kaspersky says, that the file has lost his certificate, so the problem is caused by the company, publishing pastebin.com. Quote
leducr Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 (edited) I have the same issue : Kaspersky detect that the SSL certificat is out of date Edited December 26, 2020 by leducr Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted December 30, 2020 Administrator Posted December 30, 2020 Ok I will try to use http instead. Quote

Administrator Aslain Posted January 30, 2022 Administrator Posted January 30, 2022 The installer is using http for pastebin since quite some time. What is your issue? Quote
frcard Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Maybe You changed the installer to http, but Kaspersky is asking every time, if I would continue, because its unsafe. I agree and continue, but after installation of the modpack, I'm not able to check installed version. 🤢 Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted January 30, 2022 Administrator Posted January 30, 2022 Well you have to deal with your av then. Quote
