Firewall rule for Aslain mod when filename is always different

Hello there,

 

I am fighting now for some time to get this mode around the firwall somehow.

1.) It is always another Ip while checking for updates

2.) every start it is another filename, cause it is just temporarly e.g. "\is-0aeff.tmp\aslains_wot_modpack_installer_v.1.20.0.1_01.tmp"

 

it would help a lot if the prog. has a timeout loop with something like "trying again in 5 sec". So you have time to get in the firewall rule and it can connect.

 

Any hint?

And no, It is not possible to disable the whole firewall during update process.

You should be able to add items to exclusion using wildcards * 🙂

Tried that already. Not working unless you are using wildcards for system folders e.g. %programfiles%
