If you're "kind of bad" at aiming, maybe you just need more practice, or just hints at what to do while aiming?

 

Some of the dynamic crosshairs can help you out. Though I haven't played Warships in ages, so I don't know if Nomogram crosshair is still a thing. It's pretty good for lining up shots, with it's notches at the top and bottom of the crosshair.
