Game crashing to desktop

Crash in start of loading for battle.

Did all the steps suggested.

The last 2 days I've been experiencing this also.... I even tried to slim down the instal with no XVM and problem persists... 

So I did the following this morning to try and remedy the issue;

- uninstalled the complete game + Aslain, 

- Deleted both folders (AppData + Instal Folder)

- DDU my display drivers and updated them.

- Rebooted and re-downloaded/installed game/Aslain

 

Sadly problem still persists unless I play the game without any mods or in Safe Mode

is this issue is every battle with every tank or randomly?

Randomly...any tank...Sometimes I might get 1 or 2 battles in. Then crash usually on loading for battle. Sometimes I get into a battle for for a minute or 2. 

Let me know if I can help out with testing.

Confirming the same problem, my game randomly crashes to desktop in battle. Happens on every map, in every tank, every 2-5 matches. Doesn't happen every match.

When I play the game without mods the crashing issue isn't there.

could anyone try this
close game
go to World_of_Tanks\mods\1.23.0.1
and delete AntiMirror.wotmod see if that fixes the issue.

since not 1 python is showing clear errors, 1 saying xvm is not the cause and V3 is working better.

Installed v7 and deleted AntiMirror.wotmod

Crashed on the 5th battle....Back to v3 I guess

I'm not keeping older versions of the modpack installer - do you have a link for v3? I only see a link for v7.

Nope, unfortunately with v3 it just crashes on the battle loading screen.

I presume you are indeed installing v3 and not having the check for update feature download the newest one. These are the options I have selected before install.

AntiMirror deleted, still crashing. Back to using v7. I attached more logs with 4 crashes back to back maybe they will show something.

Game crashed on loading screen 4 times on a game of Lakeville. 5th attempt I got in, but by that point was already dead.

Same here. Today the game crashed like 5x just being in the garage setting up tanks to play.

Keeps crashing randomly after battles.

Even used the WoT Mods Cleaner x 2 with no success.

@Theolitius or anyone else NOT experiencing any crashes... Can you share your ( _Aslains_Installer_Options.inf ) file with us so that we can see what you use and maybe we can also enjoy playing with your settings instead of nothing or dealing with regular crashes.

sorry for the really late reply this time
have discovered a few things during the weekend
1) session stats by Ragnarocek is bugged, you try to remove that and see if it fixes the issue, but not everyone is this topic is using that
2) clan mate (not using mods) had the same issue during clan night, constant CTD at the start of the battle, he did not get to see countdown. his issue got solved disabling his VPN

Just coming on to report that sadly the crashing continues.

 

I've went and thinned it out to just XVM Crew Returned and a few non XVM and still happening.

 

Just wish there be an easy way to find out what is the flippin cause... BLAH!!!!

if i would have to guess/blame a mod, i would bet on xvm
sadly i was not able to recreate the ctd (yet)

Random thought: are you using Armoury Crate on an Asus machine?  If so there is an issue with AacAmbientLighting.exe which is causing crashes.  I have removed Armoury Crate from the PC and crashes are gone for me.

I'm not using session stats by Ragnarocek, not using a VPN and while I used to use Armoury Crate I uninstalled it some time ago. Crashes still happening unfortuntely.

It seems to be especially bad on Lakeville for some reason, I had to add it to the map exclusions because the crashes whenever I got on that map were a nightmare. It happens on all maps though, recent examples being Fisherman's Bay (several minutes in), Oyster Bay (2x on loading screen), Cliff (2x on loading screen and again a few minutes in).

Safe to say with these crashes I've gotten a plenty of games with 0 damage.

Same no VPN, Stats by Ragnarocek, or ASUS product.

 

@BigCheese256 Same for me, quite a few games with Zero damage as typically, my tank is in movement while the crash occurs, meaning by the time I get back in the game I was spotted and killed.

 

@Theolitius I will give that I try this morning... By not using XVM Crew Return. Will have to op for the OldSchool version instead.

 

Will report back with my findings.
