R1031 Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I can get the enemy spot marker "Eye" but not the "bulb #3" (default XVM) and have not tried the other markers. I tried unchecking "Display XMQP markers" [PP] but still don't display. XMQP is checked on XVM settings on web site. Not sure if its a bug or I'm doing something wrong. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted July 4, 2016 Administrator Posted July 4, 2016 This might be because you have font conflict. Try to delete all XVM fonts from system and reinstall the modpack. Quote
R1031 Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 (edited) I removed everything from res_mods and did a install using the "clean" option but still no luck. Edited July 4, 2016 by R1031 Quote
corecroft27 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 You need to go to the fonts folder from windows. The XVM fonts are contained in it. By default it is C:\Windows\Fonts Find the XVM fonts in that folder and delete them, then reinstall the modpack. Quote
R1031 Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 I removed the fonts as you said, I moved them to a "temp dir" and reinstalled the mod pack. I selected the bulb icon I wanted but go only the colors (yellow, grey, and white) in small rectangles but no bulb. I checked the Windows/fonts and one was replaced, the XVMSymbol_22.0.ttf so I played a few more rounds not knowing if XVM might download what else was needed but did not. I viewed the true type fonts and the 22.0,17.0, and 11.1 showed the bulb font so I'm not sure why its not working. I went back to the eye for now. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted July 5, 2016 Administrator Posted July 5, 2016 XVMSymbol is not being used there, it's "XVM" font that is build into the XVM. Check your PC, maybe clean up windows registry. Quote
R1031 Posted July 5, 2016 Author Posted July 5, 2016 Run CCleaner and reinstall mod pack with no change, not sure why I get the eye icon and not the other but thanks for the help. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted July 5, 2016 Administrator Posted July 5, 2016 When you see squares instead of text then it's always fonts issue. Focus on fonts in the system. Quote

I only had those files (XVM*.ttf) I posted in the pic in the Windows/Font dir there was no XVM sub-dir in the Windows/Font. 12 hours ago, Aslain said: When you see suares instead of text then it's always fonts issue. Focus on fonts in the system. I checked my C:\Windows dir. along with the System and System32 and Program Data Dir's. My Windows 8.1 id installed on C drive and Games on D drive. I looked through the D:\Games\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\9.15.0.1\system\fonts but never seen anything ref: XVM or any sub folders in the Fonts. (if not here in Games Dir where might it be?) I tried a few re-installs of the mod pack and was able to get "Eye" and "Asterisk" but not the Bulb #3 I want to use, I never tried the other two bulbs. I always choose the "Clean" install, should I check any of the three boxes as well? And in selecting the Bulb #3 (default XVM) should the Display XMQP markers [PP] be checked or unchecked? and / or a clean install of WoT help. Edited July 5, 2016 by R1031 Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted July 6, 2016 Administrator Posted July 6, 2016 Unfortunately XMQP markers are also based on XVM font. I have a partial solution for you. Edit texts.xc, Replace this: "spotted": { "neverSeen": "<font face='xvm' color='#999999' size='23'>p</font>", "lost": "<font face='xvm' size='23'>p</font>", "spotted": "<font face='xvm' color='#FFAF00' size='23'>p</font>", "dead": "", "neverSeen_arty": "<font face='xvm' color='#999999' size='23'>p</font>", "lost_arty": "<font face='xvm' size='23'>p</font>", "spotted_arty": "<font face='xvm' color='#FFAF00' size='23'>p</font>", "dead_arty": "" } With this: "spotted": { "neverSeen": "<font face='XVMSymbol' color='#999999' size='23'>p</font>", "lost": "<font face='XVMSymbol' size='23'>p</font>", "spotted": "<font face='XVMSymbol' color='#FFAF00' size='23'>p</font>", "dead": "", "neverSeen_arty": "<font face='XVMSymbol' color='#999999' size='23'>p</font>", "lost_arty": "<font face='XVMSymbol' size='23'>p</font>", "spotted_arty": "<font face='XVMSymbol' color='#FFAF00' size='23'>p</font>", "dead_arty": "" } Quote
R1031 Posted July 6, 2016 Author Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) That did work. Thanks In the lines "<font face='xvm' color= is this using the C:\Windows\Fonts XVM.ttf file or to direct to another font file? When I view the file most of the icons are not there, only tank class icons. Edited July 6, 2016 by R1031 Quote
eastern_chris Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I keep looking for this option and I can't seem to find it anymore. The mod of having an eye marker beside player name when they are spotted. There was 2 colors, red for spotted and green for spotted and being in view. Can anyone guide me to find this mod ? Quote

There is no such option currenlty you can only enable and disable it as whole. Will re-introduce it later. Quote
