null_enque Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) Hi there, you have created a great modpack! As a programmer I fully understand the amount of work you gave to this project. Good job! But this topic about user experience (UX). I am new to WoT world and don't know all abbreviations and shortcuts in game. That's why I had to reinstall this mod 7x times to configure mod for my taste. It's ok to read every possible installer option and check it when you install mod for the first time. But when you do it for 7th time - it hurts so much! I suggest to create "installer_config.xml" file after installation where all "checked installer options" are stored. When running installer, before showing mod's options you check if "installer_config.xml" exists and then load all selected options. I can edit *.xc files to configure mod but you can't configure everything through config files. Installer has some options that are not present in *.xc files. My AslainModPack works perfectly now and I dont need this feature anymore but future newcomers may appreciate it. Moderator Quaksen Posted March 7, 2017 Moderator Posted March 7, 2017 Installer remembers your choices between installations. And there's already the "Aslains_Installer_Options.inf" - which you can use with this: Quote
null_enque Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 I wouldn't write here if it worked. Strange... "Stranger Things" are happening on my PC. New release (#16) worked perfectly! Quote
