  1. Well, if your OS (windows) is in english and you have greek keybord settings active, then you could try to activate english keyboard setting while running the installer and see how that goes.
  2. Guess that rules that out then. Are you using any sort of different languages on your PC (like greek, english, asian keyboard layouts)? I'm asking because your installer comp list is totally crippled for me and that used to happen to other files when the above was in use.
  3. Do you monitor your hardware and graphics settings? It might be possible that your preferences.xml got reset and with that, the graphics are pretty high. If that'd be the case and your graphics card can't handle imporved graphic setting, that could probably cause freezes and crashes.
  4. Generally, I like the idea of people having the possibility to customize their panels. But I also don't think that it's something Alsain should spend his time on right now; at least, if it's done the way I think it is. The files (how the panels can look like) are probably already present and, depending on what you pick, those files will then be installed. It would be a different thing, if the files would be created during installation and if you had options to choose how many stats you want to have displayed and then choose which of the stats you'd like to see. Then this file would be created automatically for every person. I think though, that this isn't too easy to implement and the other way would require Aslain to manually create mulitple different layouts beforehand.. If he did that, then everyone could come and ask for his/her favorite layout and you'd have tons of options in the installer, making the list unnessessarily long. So, the bottom line is, that your best bet is to ask people to customize the panels for you or try to have a look at it yourself. I don't understand the code behind it either but you can see patterns for which lines are responsible for what stats. Just install the advanced panels, check the order the stats are diplayed in and then edit the file and delete/add/rearrange the parts you want. It's easy enough, since <Font> marks the the start of a stat and </font> marks the end of it. Like: <font> code for average tier</font>.
  5. If you're using the XVM Carousel, you need to edit the carousel.xc (located in: WoT > res_mods > xvm > configs > Aslain > ) with notepad++ and change the value behind "zoom": from 1 to something between 0 and 0.99. As for the pack being rushed, I don't agree with that. A lot of issues are locally or simply due to the ignorance of people (don't know where files are located and/or how to edit them). Other issues are due to the original modders not making their mods 100% working. But all that is to be expected with patches and from people. If the majority of mods are working less than 24h after the patch hit, I would call that a great success. Also, greyed out stuff will return, as long as they get updated by their original creators (it's kinda common sense, since they would have been removed, instead of just greyed out). Can try to make a full bug report in a seperate thread and attach your files etc. It's likely to be local anyway or a certain mod is causing it. It's likely that this is intended, so people can have a working mod for right now. I'm sure that it will go back to normal and/or better, once the original modder can make all of it work with 9.3. A seperate thread with a proper bug report would be the best, as no1 can read minds and knows the content of your logs; as far as I know. That being said, try to not use some of the sound mod, if you do. Some of them have caused issues in the past and it seems this is the case now as well. http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/442-stuck-synchronizing-personal-file/
  6. It's due to tanks being new and that there are no expected tank values for them yet. Same issue that the Te-Ke had. I imagine that it takes some time to establish those statistics, in order to evaluate a reasonable WN8 preview.
  7. No, what we're going for here is White Power. Sorry for the pun. =P Obviously, it will go back to what you're used to, once the mods are updated for 9.3.
  8. We know that you don't sleep. =P Good job keeping track of things anyway, always much appreciated! Also, nice overview to what's expected to work on the day of doom. Really don't want to play vanilla with the missions still going on; it's bad enough this whole month already.
  9. The card is no longer directly supported by Nvidia but you can download other drivers (from Nvidia) that also support this card indirectly. Check this for more information: http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_32667.html If you use Chrome, you can use Ctrl + F and enter the the name of your card in the search-box, that pops up on the top of the screen (so you don't have to skim through the whole list of cards).
  10. If you're talking about XVM stats, going to their website, logging in and adding client worked for me.
  11. Tons of things that we don't know about this situation though, so no1 can tell you anything about it. Was it a 1 vs 1 or could someone else have spotted you? What tanks were you two using? What crew skills/equipement/consumables were in play; on both sides? On top of that, you only think that you knew where the arty was at. Usually, it's safe to assume that everything was legit, imo. Arties are normally very well camouflaged and only detectable when pretty close to you (unless they fire and/or move). Seeing as you didn't have 6th sense, it's also fair to presume that your crew was worse than their crew.
  12. Looks like you have "Show Vehicle Tiers" in the ingame Settings > General section active. Untick it there.
  13. Well, you can/have to just run the installer again and tick/untick whatever you want to change. With a clean install you should then always get what you want. Takes a bit longer, depending on how many and what mods you are installing, but it's not too inconvenient. If you only wanted to add a mod, you could probably do that as well, by using Normal installation. However, removing wouldn't work with that and installing this way may also lead to "faulty" or useless files.
  14. I guess you mean Vehicle Contour Icons? Like this: If so, you can find a variety of them in the top part of the installer. When you click the Show Descriptions button on the bottom of the installer window and then select the Press here for image preview button, you can also see how they look like before installing them. Regarding the use of Shoutbox, you will have to make 3 forum posts before you can use that.
  15. Like I said, the reason for the JP E100 is, most likely, that he simply used small and large repair kit. 1st track > use small pack and repair tracks. 2nd track > use large repair pack and repair tracks. As for the question whether or not to use the toolbox and/or the large repair kit: I think that those 2 have very limited uses in most battles. Of course they would be nice to have at all times but that's only if there weren't any other options available. Usually, you're either not getting tracked enough, in order to make use of those items or you get tracked too much, so even those 2 items won't help you out all that much. In most battles (from what I experienced) you're better off using different equipement/consumables, especially on higher tiers.
  16. Yes, Siegfried voices are german indeed, as stated in the installer too (at least the english translation of it). They are pretty bad though, imo; I tried them out once and ditched them quickly again.
  17. I don't have either of them, so take what I'm going to say with a grain of salt. From what I've heard about them, they mainly differ in respects of armor and the gun. IS-4 has a better gun and weaker armor, so it's more reliable on medium ranges (better accuracy/aiming and weaker armor, which is better when enemy's shells lose penetration over distance). IS-7 is more about "all into your face", since it has awesome armor and poor gun-stats. You're better off being close to your enemies, in order to mitigate the flaws of the gun and to put your armor to good use for your team. So, I suppose, it depends on what role you like to play more and, obviously, what maps you get to play them on. IS-7 seems very much like a fusion between KV-1 and KV-1S to me, it's rather quick and has troll armor. On top of that, it's always going to be top tier, so.. I'd prefer that (which doesn't mean that the IS-4 can't do well though).
  18. This, probably, doesn't help much, since I can't provide a table of repair-times but you might have simply engaged a player that uses 2 repair kits there (a small and a big one). Most tanks shouldn't go below like 3-4 seconds repairing their tracks (and that's with like 100% repair, BiA, large repair kit and possibly "premium" food). Not sure what knowing all repair times would do you any good either, since the times vary so much with what equipement, crew, consumables, types of tank the other players use. Remembering all of that would, likely, be a pain. The thing you could take from that though, is that tracking a TD or heavy twice isn't always going to be enough. Knowing that there are 2 repair kits and that tanks don't usually repair within 1-2 seconds should help you estimate what kinds of consumables the enemy uses. If they don't repair quickly the second time, then you can assume that you can easily circle them. If they do though, you might have to wait for a 3rd track or be safe and wait for help from your allies. I mean, if you're a 1-shot for the enemy, why would you risk anything anyway, unless you're very certain about the situation?
  19. Maybe "hide bounces & reload time" was selected in the installer:
  20. Well, it'd be the first time that I heard about it. But then again, that doesn't have to mean much. As far as I know, the transparency only changes for those tanks who are actually firing shots. That'd be pretty mean if other players would get punished for you shooting too close to their bushes. You could make sense of it with thinking about it logically, like that your gun creates such a big flash, that it lights up everything behind the bushes or that the shot creates a huges shockwave, blasting away the cover (bushes). But that's very unlikely, imo. Feel free to test it yourself though, with some friends (I don't have any). Put 2 identical tanks in a bush and have a scout find the exact distance where they will be spotted, sitting in a bush. Then the scout drives back a little, until he loses contact and then one of the tanks fires a shot. Then you'll see if both get spotted or only the one who fires.
  21. I think you misunderstood that a little bit. The only reason why you shouldn't camp right next to another tank, especially when you are very likely to get spotted and sit next to a scout/TD, is that the enemies will try to shoot you. And while trying to kill you, some of their fire will hit your teammate next to you. Even though he never got spotted in the first place. The camo from bushes/net/crew on your teammates have nothing to do with this. It's only you who loses the bush-camo when you fire (when too close to the bush). Your teammates still keep theirs, if they don't shoot. The net-camo will also stay active for every player, as long as they don't move. Also worth noting that it's bad when you bump into other people, when they sit stationary, since you make them move and they then lose their net/bino-bonuses (and likely the better camo bonus from standing still - but don't quote me on that, just seems logical) temporarily.
  22. I suppose that it's meant for trying to play very tactical in 1 vs 1 combat and it all depends on what conclusions you draw with the information given to you. Generally, this perk can be considered rather useless, until you get a more useful skills done, that help you play better more often. What it does: It shows you damaged/knocked out modules on the tank that you've spotted and pointing you crosshair at. How it can be used: Seeing damaged tracks tell you that you can take off the enemy's track in your next shot, even with a lower caliber gun (which normally would require you to shoot them twice, in order to take them off). A damaged/knocked out gun tells you that the target's accuracy has decreased or that the enemy is unable to shoot right now and you can peek-a-boo/advance more safely and even aim for slightly longer, with a lower chance of taking a hit in return. A damaged/knocked out engine tells you that you're likely to be able to outrun your enemy and can help you to decide your next move (run away more easily, engage and circle him like a boss or simply get into your next cover before the enemy gets there). And so on. It's very situational but it certainly has it's place. It really depends on how you play/want to play as well but it's still one of the worse options for the commander and usually only added as the 4th-6th skill.
  23. I don't use anything outside of this modpack (apart from crew voices) and I don't think you have to select anything special. It should be the same like the one for arti but I don't play arti or tier 1-2 tanks too often normally, so.. I only noticed it on the T2 Light recently and it reminded me of when I derped around with arti a while back. Anyway, I've everything selected in [XVM Minimap], so..
  24. This is what I get with T2 Light: Notice the red circle, like you get with arti as well? E: Actually bad quality but hope you can see it anyway, between light blue and yellow.
