It seems there is an old version still in the installer. I installed 15b and in game, got alert about update. Also when starting the installer changelog doesn't show 15b. Tried download links 2, 3 and 4.

Never. Just make a new folder where you download these mod .exe files and from Windows Defender go to the settings and exclude that new folder. This way you don't have to disable the Defender. exclude.pdf -

Modpack freezes windows explorer

Freezing first time for me too. With Windows 10 64bit. And it's definitely the Windows Defender what causes this. Workaround is to exclude the Aslain's installer .exe from the Defender settings. Or do what I did. I made new folder for Aslain's installer downloads and excluded that folder.
