ElJoker Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Getting an error that I dont have access to rename two files in two different locations - filenames are sed.exe and patch.exe .. I am running it in adminstrator mode and my login does have admin rights but it wont work. Is this an issue with patch 1.7.1.1 ??? thanks ElJoker Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted January 31, 2020 Administrator Posted January 31, 2020 What locations? Try to delete folders manualy. Quote
DaddyTinman Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Same issue.....won't delete the sed file. I tried to delete and rename up through res_mods. No luck. I tried to change permissions and the sed and patch files cannot be overwritten or deleted or renamed. Quote
Interface2037 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) edit: wrong sed.exe link Edited February 2, 2020 by Interface2037 Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted February 1, 2020 Administrator Posted February 1, 2020 It's not that sed, my sed is http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/sed.htm Quote
DaddyTinman Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Last time this happened, I had to re-install entire game under a new folder. Seems to be linked to ownership of the file in the error as noted in the subject line. Quote
SwedishBob_ Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 (edited) Got same problem I have to restart PC after deleting Aslains folder manually ... everytime I want to change installed mods Attached zip file with logs .. Administrator Aslain Posted February 3, 2020 Administrator Posted February 3, 2020 I cannot help much about it, it's not my fault, it's caused by your windows settings or software. Quote
SwedishBob_ Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 (edited) No problem Aslain ...... hope it fixes itself OK I don't know if this is important but when choose to ignore both files sed.exe and patch.exe the carousel mod is not install .... ? Edited February 4, 2020 by SwedishBob_ update on thinking Quote
SwedishBob_ Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 I just reinstalled mod pack without Carousel mod and had no problems ... even when I edited the installed mods .... seems to be a problem with carousel mod and my machine Quote
FlyMyPretty Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I had this problem. I restarted the machine and reinstalled the modpack, and it was fine. (Even with carousel. :) ). Quote
bumbum76 Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Have you already tried booting the system in Safe Mode and then renaming the folder? Then reboot and just delete it? Quote
