Game crashing on alt-tab/match exit - anyone else?

2 different computers same issue. Not seen this before.

All drivers, updates etc up to date.

Both windows 11 pcs.

Both stable for years with Aslain + wot.

Will try no mods.

Safe mode with no mods = no crashes.

My game has started crashing again after the latest update 4b , at the start and end of battles. I have now deleted that one and am going back to using the previously released modpack to see if it fixes the problem.

it's worse than it used to be, now it closes my game every time I leave the garage early

i managed to get 5 games without crashing on the 4 mod pack then crashed again

I uninstalled the mod and tried it several times and had no crashes. I am not sure what in the mod is causing the crashes but just know without it I no longer crash.

Try this and see if it helps:  

1. Look for and open the WOT Game folder on your hard drive.  
2. Once in the game folder, look for and open the Win64 folder.
3. Once in there, look for the World of Tanks Application/EXE file.
4. Create a desktop shortcut using that file.

I did that, and have no issues crashing it appears.  Basically, it's bypassing the Wargaming Center altogether and doesn't even use it to launch the game.  Hope it helps.  It did for me.

My game has crashed several times in the past few days. Never did this before. Went through WGs recovery and file checking. It had me recover and delete mods. I reinstalled Aslain mods and it just crashed again. Has there been any word about a particular mod doing this?

Installed modback when 1.19 was released. Game crashed when I leave a battle.

De-installed all mods, no problems any more for 3/4 days.

 

Re-installed mods because I really want my mods, installed the latest pack#5. I saw there was an XVM mod update, since XVM mod is responsible for 99% of issues in this modpack, I figured it would be fixed.

 

First game I leave, it's a crash.

 

One mod is DEFINITELY causing this.

xvm was the cause
this was the update log, so not sure what line of code was exactly the issue.

Just wanted to share with everyone that after all the modpack updates, I was still getting crashes every 4th to 10th game. However, I deleted the AppData folder for WoT, which DOESNT get deleted when you uninstall, and then did a clean reinstall and went almost 70 games yesterday before crashing, and that crash was the only one of the day. I didnt crash again and played a total of about 110 games yesterday, so you all that are still crashing might wanna try this!

 

Quick and easy way to find it is to open file explorer and type %AppData% in the directory bar, and then find the wargaming one and delete the world of tanks folder in there.
