Do these mods work if game is installed through Steam

I followed the steps on the download site but every time I attempt to launch the game it brings up the loading screen and then closes the game. Is this an issue with launching through Steam? Is there a more specific installation method for this situation? I uninstalled the mods to see if the game still works without them and it does so it seems to be that when I add the mods it breaks the launch process. If there are any solutions to this that would be appreciated.

The installer and mods are working fine on Stean. There is a chance that you have not installed the modpack on admin account, and don't play on admin account either. Attaching logs may help a bit, see my signature link.

Alright it did solve the solution. I was putting it in the mods folder under eu (which seems logical tbf) and that probably broke it. Thanks again!
