Errors when installing

Try to run the installer as administrator, if no help then that means you have javascript engine missing on your pc, and it's required for the installer.

 

You need an IT guy to fix it, or try do it manualy, you have to google it.

Thanks for the advice but no luck. I've tried everything I could find but it looks like I'm gonna have to restore my system using an old backup from September. Now I wish I'd kept my weekly backup schedule...

Yeah I tried that. Still got the same errors  :(

 

I'm almost positive that this is something to do with Avast Antivirus but I've tried everything I could find to fix it. I've uninstalled it using the AvastClear Uninstall Utility, then reinstalled Java after checking the registry to make sure everything is as it should be. Still no luck. Very frustrating  :angry:

I already tried that  :(

 

I've just completed a fresh Windows install (my backup had become corrupted) and the problem is solved, with the added side effects of a slightly faster PC and less clutter  :D
