Read only folder not allowing installer to write to that directory.

Has made itself a read-only folder that i can't access/delete/overwrite or change from read only. As a result I can't update to the new patch and certain feature of this mod won't install.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried that in the admin mode?

 

Alternatively in admin mode try to change file/folder permissions or try to take over them. Looks like it's preventing from file operations.

Hey Aslain, thanks for your reply. I am logged in as the administrator when trying to change the attributes in the link. I have also tried changing the attributes via Command Prompt with no success.

Thanks for your help Aslain. I'm due for a clean install of windows anyways. So I'm just going to reformat ect.

I could not watch your video as it is private, but I had a similar issue after I installed a new ssd as my C drive.  I had to take ownership of a lot of files and folders.  If you have not tried this, it could be worth a shot.  If you don't know how to do it, you can Google "Windows take ownership of file".
