Latouche_Treville Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) Hi, All texts in the game are originally in Russian, translated in English, then retranslated in French. Unfortunatly the most part of the vocabulary used for the ribbons is incorrect with syntax/grammar/spelling mistakes and eventually quite ridiculous (*). So if a modder is avalaible to look at the problem, i'll be glad to give him the correct and argued translation for the ribbons. Best regards. (*) The french voice ingame tells bullshit with sometimes a tone that suggest an invitation for sexuals priced practices Edited May 4, 2017 by Latouche_Treville Quote
Latouche_Treville Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 Originals ribbon's texts and below, a correction : Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted May 6, 2017 Moderator Posted May 6, 2017 The file global.mo inside: \World of Warships\res\texts\ probably has the translations for all of those. You could manually adjust it, but it would most likely get broken with every single update, even if you have it in res_mods folder instead. :/ If you want to edit it, you can though... if you go to: http://tools.konstruktors.com/ And then pick the top option, "Convert .mo to .po", open the .po file with Notepad++ for example, and adjust it to your likings. Then go back to the website, and use, "Convert .po to .mo" and replace it in res folder - or add it in the proper folder structure in res_mods folder. Quote

Administrator Aslain Posted May 8, 2017 Administrator Posted May 8, 2017 Maybe it's good to talk with Garfield http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/100691-0641-garfield001s-mod-collection/#topmost He has collection of mods, and maybe he can maintain it up. I've noticed some french mods in his topic. Quote
