Seijoo Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 (edited) Hi, I'm having CTD in more ways when before, few noticies: On first launch after upgrading mod game is shutting down on the launch without any message, CTD is random, it can even take 5 times straight to be able to log into game. Attaching aslain log + event viewer screenshot to confirm if the main cause is external audio card as shown in the log mention. In even logs mod installer log is also present. Please advised what could be done. thank you, Regards, Edgar. Aslains_WoT_Logs.zip Edited August 16, 2019 by Seijoo Quote
Seijoo Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Update: I have upgrade audio driver for xonar, disabled secondary audio drivers, second one is for mic, 4 for audio. 1/1 game no crash Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted August 16, 2019 Moderator Posted August 16, 2019 The error message from the modpack about slideshow.dll isn't really important, if the modpack ran it has installed the mod properly. (slideshow stuff is about the preview images in modpack) That ASUS program has something that probably causes the crash somehow I bet.. it's an OSD, so On-Screen Display.. maybe it messes with World of Tanks in a way it doesn't like.. like injecting itself into it? Like Overwolf, except just a different program. 1 Quote
Seijoo Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Hi, thanks for fast reply, I have not enabled overlay, except gaming equalizer: Screenshot, could you advise if any setting might be at fault? Thank you. Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted August 16, 2019 Moderator Posted August 16, 2019 Unlikely the sound settings there would cause any issue, it's just the error message above has "OSD" mentioned in relation to that program, which suggests it has some sort of interaction with the game. (Overlay-type thing) 1 Quote
Seijoo Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Understood, hopefully Asus support team will respond with any good news. Cheers. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted August 17, 2019 Administrator Posted August 17, 2019 All I know is that errors regarding isslideshow.dll is a sign that there is an aggresive antivir running in background and blocking the installer function to display mod preview images. Cannot tell anything about the other issues. 1 Quote
Seijoo Posted August 17, 2019 Author Posted August 17, 2019 Understood, than you for your support. Case closed, nothing wrong from mod side. Quote
Seijoo Posted September 17, 2019 Author Posted September 17, 2019 Answer was indeed with audio card, wot was crashing because of inner block for any GUI. Quote
