stratious Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 With how often you're updating your modpack, a thought occurred to me. If you were to create a modified world of tanks launcher, you could incorporate into it an automatic update feature for the modpack, allowing the mods already installed to be updated based on the current version, as well as allowing an easy place to modify installed mods without having to reinstall the entire modpack. This would help people who don't check the website every day to stay up to date on the latest release, and if you were to implement a torrent system, then it would also reduce bandwidth usage for your file sharing. Administrator Aslain Posted April 17, 2015 Administrator Posted April 17, 2015 It's cool in theory, but very hard to do, would have to write a new application, so is a no go. Also cannot use torrents or p2p at all, the DLC files has to be stored as easy accessible links. Quote
stratious Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 If you could send me an open source of your installer, I could see about whipping up an auto-update style launcher based on it. Completely up to you, of course. Quote

MGIMATTY Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 when I run the game 1st time of the day, I get a notification that an update is available(on the right side of screen) This is not what the OP meant. He's looking for a launcher which automatically updates the mods he has downloaded through aslain, as aslain puts them up for download. Quote
Grandorf Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi Good idea, but part of the charm is to see what new Aslain has found. Quote
MGIMATTY Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 This could still be part of a new launcher as OP stated it would only update installed mods. Quote
