Jock Strac Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Issues Norton initially blocks as no signature. Ignoring the above Norton worry, the installer runs, i get through parts where i select the parts of MOD i want and click go, but the extraction then has multiple issues of Norton threat reporting of the installer trying to delete files that are protected. Moderator Quaksen Posted March 16, 2023 Moderator Posted March 16, 2023 Always Norton freaking out over nothing 😄 None of the files should be protected though... are you running modpack as admin? Hmm 🙂 1 Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted March 19, 2023 Moderator Posted March 19, 2023 First one is probably because your game is still running or something. Or not running modpack as admin. Second one is Norton being stupid really. Freaking out over the installer doing what it needs to do with the tmp file. Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted March 19, 2023 Administrator Posted March 19, 2023 Exactly, good example of Norton causing problems for no reasons. Quote

Moderator Quaksen Posted March 19, 2023 Moderator Posted March 19, 2023 Restart computer then. Game probably didn't close properly. Or your antivirus is even blocking modpack from replacing the readme file 😄 Quote

Administrator Aslain Posted March 19, 2023 Administrator Posted March 19, 2023 If you are installing the modpack on admin account (and not just the run as admin option), then it's definitely Norton still screwing with you. Quote
skykingtx Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I was having the same problem. Norton didn't seem to like items in the PMOD section. Logged into my Norton account and went to the <Data Protection> tab and disabled data protection for 15 minutes. Exited Norton, then installed current version of Mod Pack with no problems. Back into Norton and enabled data Protection. Booted PC just to be sure. Everything appears to be running on now. Quote
