Possible false positive on modpack installer?

Just for the record I've been using alsain's modpack for years...thank you for always delivering an awesome modpack, I've never really had any issue with downloading and using it.

I've also been using google chrome for years and never changed any settings regards to security features or virus protection, same with windows. Same settings I always have.

This latest version of the modpack however I cannot download as its been detected as a virus. I've tried multiple browsers, Chrome wouldn't let the download complete and firefox (yeah I know but missus uses this pc and she loves it!) allowed me to download but when I tried to installed it flagged it as a virus and deleted it.

Any advice on what to do to get the latest version?

This is your antivirus doing, so I cannot do much, maybe it will have no false-positive in next modpack update, so you can just wait, or write to microsoft to fix their stuff.

Damn Microsoft and their security.

Guess I'll just have to run with the last version of your modpack for now

Thanks for the quick reply, and keep up the good work.

Found a solution.

Had to download via Firefox as chrome wouldn't let the file download complete.

Then went into windows settings/update and security and added the file as an exclusion under virus and threat detection settings.

All is good in the world again.

Many thanks again for your help.

Just a false positive.

What version of the modpack is that?

The newest seems to be doing better than the one just before it.
