Cal Harkins Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Everytime world of tanks updates it corrupts my Aslains mods. Not all of them, just some of them. So I need a .inf file to save and load it after update. My computer is NOT saving a .inf file. I have tied running as admin and everything I can think of. My friend here in town is having the same issue with his Aslains not creating an .inf file Please help!!!!! I will send Aslains $20 if you can fix this. Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted July 15 Moderator Posted July 15 v1.25.0.0 #13 (01-07-2024): Installer code has been optimized (including removal of .inf file auto-creation, reducing startup time by up to 50%, and helping prevent antivirus programs from blocking the installer in certain cases; quick update aka silent mode option have been removed accordingly. You can still create and load the .inf manually using the command line switches /SAVEINF=filename.inf and /LOADINF=filename.inf, and for silent mode: /SILENT). The LoadInf app still works with this installer as long as you have the .inf file. However, I recommend using .reg files to transfer your selections in the modpack instead, as they work independently of the LoadInf application. TL;DR: You don't need the .inf. You get a .reg, which is infinitely better at what it needs to do. 🙂 Quote
Cal Harkins Posted July 15 Author Posted July 15 how do I use the .reg file to recreate my aslains mods? Quote
Moderator Solution Quaksen Posted July 15 Moderator Solution Posted July 15 Double click it, accept the import to registry - and then modpack will load the previous setup. Quote
