Administrator Aslain Posted March 5, 2016 Administrator Posted March 5, 2016 Check if you have proper permissions (admin rights), also if the file is not locked (playerspanel.xc). Check your antivir too. Quote
Simonmar Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 I found the source of the problem: something in the XVM player panel mod isn't going on, also in the 9.13.46 version. I removed it from my preferential install and the error doesn't appear. I'm waiting for a patch. Thanks. Quote

Could you tell what did you remove from your selection for there is another player that has the same error. Quote
Simonmar Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) I removed all the XVM panel section from the installation Edited March 9, 2016 by Simonmar Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted March 9, 2016 Administrator Posted March 9, 2016 I will change (rewrite) the code from JS to use sed.exe, should help with some issues. Quote
thundercrack Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I've been seeing the same error on Windows 7. I've never ran into this before. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mgo0o763m7z3g5h/aslain_file_permis.jpg?dl=0 Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted March 13, 2016 Administrator Posted March 13, 2016 yup local problem, nothing to do with modpack. Quote
DasSchlippo Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I am experiencing the same issue. I am the administrator account (and only account) on my PC. I have disabled anti-virus (Microsoft Security Essentials) and I still receive the error. Contour icons and over target markers will not install, I am not sure if they are related to this issue. Is there a log file I can send to diagnose the problem? Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted March 14, 2016 Administrator Posted March 14, 2016 I will rewrite javascript code into something else, hope it will sort out all issues like that. Looks like .js is too sensitive. Btw. I didn't touch it or change it for like half a year, so if you suddenly experiencing this, it's not modpack, but something else. Quote

That's what I find puzzling. I have been using your modpack for quite some time on the same system where I am now experiencing an error. I have never had a problem before. I think it is more likely that it is a local error, but I have eliminated permissions and anti-virus as the issue, at least on my machine. Edited March 14, 2016 by DasSchlippo Quote
MGIMATTY Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 As for all programs, make sure your windows, java and .net is always updated. This will prevent most issues. Quote

Is there a log file I can send to diagnose the problem? Same thing for me...no issues until the 9.14 modpack installer. I'm using Windows 7, and I don't update it very often, so maybe it's the perfect storm of crap. I don't [care to] know Windows well enough to figure it out since I only boot into it to play WoT or edit audio/video. But I googled my ass off a few nights ago trying everything I could find and nothing would solve this. Quote
thundercrack Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 No luck in Windows 7 after applying full "Important Updates"...trying "Optional Updates" now. Quote
thundercrack Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Also no luck after applying "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 for Windows 7 for x64 (KB3102433)". I'm curious if everyone who is seeing this problem is also on Windows 7? Quote
Grandorf Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Hi Could be mod trying to "phone home" or some old directory structure. The mod or Java is confused for some reason. Quote
Ydwsm Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Checked it while installing, file says its read only...rest dont...dunno if thats the problem Quote
