fgn_2 Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 (edited) At this file location, my "users" folder is empty after each modpack installation: C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks\xvm\users\. As a result, things like my carousel reserve tanks (reserve.dat) are gone/deleted and I have to resave them all individually inside the game client. I noticed my reserve tanks were not saved with each new modpack install starting with Aslain v1.14.1.3_01, or perhaps even earlier with v1.14.1.2_xx. I finally did some researching and isolated the problem with the empty "users" folder. As a work around, I am copying my "users" folder to a backup location and then with each new modpack install, I'm pasting my "users" folder where they should be. It's saving me from having to reselect my reserve tanks for each of my WoT accounts, which was a real pain. Edited November 19, 2021 by fgn_2 Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted November 19, 2021 Moderator Posted November 19, 2021 Are you selecting to delete cache in the installer? Didn't share log files, so I'm guessing that is what you're ended up selecting. Quote
fgn_2 Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 Yep, delete cache was checked so a self-inflicted wound. I have no idea why I chose to delete my game cache several mod pack updates ago ... I suppose it was ignorance as to what "game cache" includes. Thank you very much (from a bit less ignorant WoT player). Quote
Administrator Aslain Posted November 20, 2021 Administrator Posted November 20, 2021 Delete game gache is option for users who has encountered various problems related to corrupted cache/cfg files located in the appdata. This option should be used when nothing else is helping, it's harsh indeed, but can fix the majority of issues regarding the appdata folder. Quote
