stussy Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 does anyone know which WoT tweaks checkbox enables arty shells hitting the ground? i've played around with various settings and can't seem to find which one affects this. please answer only if you know for sure. TIA. Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 Probably "Shell explosion effects"? But if you check it, you DISABLE that effect. Quote
stussy Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 Probably "Shell explosion effects"? But if you check it, you DISABLE that effect. already tried that. that only affects shells hitting your tank. i'm trying to activate when arty shells miss your tank and splash on the ground nearby. Moderator Quaksen Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 If you want to see the effect, don't select any of the WoT Tweaks If you cannot see the effect when you have unchecked all the WoT Tweaks, there's something else disabling them.. If you check things in WoT Tweaks, you disable (turn OFF) the said effects. Quote
stussy Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 ok, please re-read my original post. i specifically asked only to respond if you know for sure. if you're not sure, then you're not adding anything to this thread. please answer only if you know for sure. TIA. obviously, i'm running wot tweaks because i want the fps gains. i'm trying to figure out which one affects arty splash shells without having to experiment with each option one at a time. 1 Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 Yeah, I read it, no need to get nasty about it. Simply replied, trying to help you, because you seem to be thinking the checkboxes enable effects, when the checkboxes disable effects. Guess I shouldn't have done that. I regret it now. Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 And oh, look at that... it IS "Shell Explosion Effects". Which I mentioned in the first reply. Uncheck "Disable Shell Explosion Effects". Quote
stussy Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) sorry if it sounded harsh. didn't mean to come across that way and wasn't trying to be nasty. i appreciate the effort. just that i'm weary of forums where people clutter threads with posts that have no relevance. yes, i tried the shell explosion effects option and that didn't work. like i said before, it only seems to affect shells that hit your tank. i'm looking for arty splash effects. i.e., arty shell misses your tank and hits the ground nearby your tank. again, thanks for the effort. Moderator Quaksen Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 Did you look in my spoiler tag? The effects that Shell Explosion Effects handle, are the ground hits, sand hits, water hits, snow hits Quote
stussy Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 yes, i unchecked that before but it still wasn't showing arty shells splashing. i'm wondering if an in-game setting could override the wot tweaks setting. Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Posted September 3, 2015 It's been ages since I looked at the ingame settings, so can't really say much there, apart from, have a look Maybe there's an effect setting there, that you have turned down, that affects it, even if it didn't use to, it might have been changed in WoT itself. Also WoT Tweaks got removed again, so it might not be functioning properly yet at all.. hmm. Mysteries all around :) Quote
stussy Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 the only option left in the current modpack is remove tree motion effects. Quote
Moderator Quaksen Posted September 4, 2015 Moderator Posted September 4, 2015 the only option left in the current modpack is remove tree motion effects. Yeah, due to: "- removed WoT Tweaker because crashing the game (should be back later after better investigation)" Quote
