mini map issue

Hello out there,  I installed the latest update and now ships names no longer appear on the mini map.....any ideas?

No clue, post your logs and picture of problem. What interface mode are you using in game options?

Pressing Alt in Alternative battle interface disable the name in the minimap. I was having the ships' name on minimap until I try pressing Alt multiple times, and voila, it worked.

Default behavior is that pressing ALT turns minimap shipnames off.

 

There's a toggle in the modpack, so the shipnames always remain on minimap.

 

(Why the minimap author choose alt, is beyond me.. alt is used for so many things, planes on a carrier, for example)

It turns out to have been the "alt" toggle switch was unknown to me.

'ALT' toggling of ship names remains active even if we choose 'ship names always on' tick box during installation. Pl. look into this.

I have no idea who the author is. Aslain probably does.

I doubt it'll be changed.. and if it's changed, it'll just end up being some other weird button, hehe. I'm sure Aslain will try to look into why the "always on" toggle isn't working properly.

I will check deeply if when you provide logs. [edit: nevermind I don't need them anymore in this case]

 

edit: Meanwhile I checked with this mod only, and looks like the names are togglable no matter what you select in the modpack, this is also no modpack bug, so the author of this mod must update the mod to reflect latest changes in the game.

 

One of solution is to unbind ALT (alternative interface mode) in game controls, or change it to different key or ultimately don't use this mod at all, and use built in game ship names instead.
